About

In 1991, Patrice and Patrick Wooldridge formed Wooldridge Associates, Inc. to better provide actionable qualitative research and strategic planning where and when our clients need it.

Within the first 6 months, companies such as Leaf Candies (now owned by Mars), Harris Bank, Sara Lee and Hasbro were clients. Our client list now spans over 40 different firms with a wide base of experience from apparel to food to technical issues.

Constantly looking for solutions “outside of the box,” we create new ways of thinking about qualitative research in order to provide our clients with the best possible understanding and the most appropriate solutions to their marketing issues.

The Office Environment

Many of our clients have been curious about our office environment since we are a small business located in a residential neighborhood of Chicago. So we thought we’d give you a look at the atmosphere in which we work and some of the fun reasons you might want to visit us sometime.

The office is located 6.5 miles north of the center of downtown Chicago in a neighborhood called Andersonville. (Chicago is a city made up of neighborhoods: ours is Swedish – we even have the Swedish Museum just a few blocks away.) It is a fifteen-minute walk from our office to Lake Michigan and a beautiful view of the city.

Our office is an intimate space with no walls or other separations between work stations, so our creative energies flow freely from one person to another. Patrick keeps us very up-to-date with all of our equipment. In fact, much of it has been upgraded or replaced within the past 2 years. We use a high quality color laser printer that makes our reports look great. We are an almost all Mac office, but don’t worry; we have no problem reading or writing PC files (that’s the beauty of a Macintosh). In addition, we now have a PC to double-check all of our documents before sending them out.

We’re also about five minutes from the Swedish Bakery which serves some of the best cakes and pastries in the city. And down the street from that is Ann Sather’s which has the best breakfasts you’ve ever tasted – including gooey flavor-filled cinnamon rolls with every meal. Come visit us and we’ll make sure one or more of these treats are available so you can judge for yourself.

Chicago’s park runs along the lake for eight miles with jogging and bike trails and great beaches (although you’d probably only want to be in the water in the summer!) In winter, we can cross-country ski at the lakefront.
